The Patrol Division is the most visible element of the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office and is responsible for providing law enforcement and crime prevention services to the residents of Brunswick County.
There are approximately 14 deputies assigned to our Patrol Division who patrol the larger portion of 583 square miles. Approximately 15,849 people live in Brunswick County.
Deputy Sheriffs work an assigned shift, patrolling and performing law enforcement and crime prevention work. This includes serving criminal and civil warrants, making arrests, issuing citations and conducting preliminary criminal investigations. Other duties include the serving of civil process and assisting the Investigation and the Court Security Division.
